Connecting to FileMaker Remote Host via FileMaker Pro
Solution 1. In FileMaker Pro's menu, click File > Open Remote

2. Select 'Favorite Hosts' from the 'View:' drop-down menu

3. If the remote FileMaker server that you wish to connect to is listed then skip to step 4, if it is not listed then you would need to add it as follows:
a.click the 'Add' button
b. Enter the remote server's Internet Address in the 'Host's Internet Address' (you would have been given those details in your original hosting details, if you need a reminder then please submit a ticket to the support team)
c. click Save

4. Click on the remote host you wish to connect to. This would list the databases hosted on the server*

5. Double click on the database to open it.

* You may be prompted for login details before the server lists the databases, this would be if the server has been configured to only show databases that you have access to. On RapidHost's shared servers this is configured such that the server would list the databases where your FileMaker database login details match, i.e. you would need to enter your FileMaker database file access details which would have been setup by yourself or by your FileMaker developer. You would be prompted for the same details again when you try to open the file.
